| So now you get to learn about me, and see me - like you wanted to. But, to the left, is a picture of me, taken from my college ID card. Somehow, it scanned weird, but nevertheless, it's me, as an ultra-dork who's trying to smile after spending 8 hours in a car with my parents. As you know, I consider myself an androgyne or a genderbender and I like to write. But, there's more things I do. In fact, I seldom keep my notebook with me to write about Jesse and Glynis. Anyway, to start, I like to read. Like you couldn't have figured that out on your own. I guess I could say my favorite authors are Albert Camus (in his English-translated works, since I'm still learning French), Sylvia Plath, S.E. Hinton (I used to be infatuated with The Outsiders and Taming The Star Runner in high school), and a few others, but I can't think, since it's 12:30 PM here. However, I've read some short stories of Flannery O'Connor and Sherman Alexie in my writing class in college, and I find their works interesting, as well. Other than reading, I like watching films. Well, "films," as in movies with plot and original dialogue. As it turns out, because of my standards, I mostly watch independent films - mostly. There are some films like "Ther Outsiders," "Stand By Me," and "The Breakfast Club" that were mainstream back in the '80's, but are "films" by my definition. But, fastforward to the present. I can't name a single film that I can say is my "favorite," but I do indeed like "Requiem for a Dream," "A Clockwork Orange," "Full Metal Jacket," "The Low Life," "Boys Don't Cry," "Waking Life," and "My Own Private Idaho." Like most teenagers, I listen to music. I'm also finicky about that, as well, for my CD/tape collection consists solely of Smashing Pumpkins, the Cure, New Order, and The Pet Shop Boys. But, I have a Metallica mix tape (old, but good stuff) and a Red Hot Chili Peppers CD I bought in 6th grade and habitually listened to it, until I turned 13, in which the Smashing Pumpkins grew on me. * Need to know anything else? Ah yes, my name! I don't have much of a name, but you can call me Jesse or Zero. Note: Jesse in "In my skin" has no relation to me. I merely used the name since it seemed androgynous and I wanted a character I could empathize with. As you can see, my hair is not purple and I'm not wearing a trench coat, although I own one. If the work ever gets published, I'm changing my name to Vladislav Nahrabeska, anyway. |

| Above, that messed up picture is from my college ID card. The next two were taken after I went to a goth club over winter break. Below, that is Gen, my best friend, and me, looking either tired or drunk but feeling the former. | |||||||||||||
