“Throughout history,
an elemental force roams the world bringing death and destruction. Upon seeing
her, men and women willingly bring down their societies for just a few moments
with her body. She exists only to destroy and legends precede her appearances.
She's as evil as she is innocent, as retiring as she is seductive, and as
beautiful as she is terrifying. She is …Maya! Here is a tragic destiny: even
she is powerless to stop the destruction that she brings. Not a demoness. Not a
witch. She is far from powerful than either. She is a force of nature who
possesses a horrible sexual talent to utterly destroy everything she comes in
contact with. Many have tried to if not stop her at least slow her down and
escape, but how does one slow a Hurricane or Earthquake? And Maya is more
powerful than either…and more seductive than anyone ever seen!”
We haven’t had a hentai movie up for review in a while. Which is why I’m deeply sorry to present you with this, Imma Yujo 4. This is by-the-numbers “nasty” hentai in the style of Cool Devices. Lots of torture, lots of moaning and gallons of blood, it’s like a gimp’s dream come true but to all of us sane folk it’ll just seem uninspired and gross. In fact Imma Yujo 4 is gross in every sense of the word, from the horrible Ulysses 31 style character designs, to the garish music and atrocious voice acting. The European stylings of the backdrops and characters do not extend to the lovemaking, this is pornography, not erotica – and you’ll be hard pressed as a male [or female] to find this in any way stimulating.
On the upside the animation is smooth and to an acceptable standard (even if the characters, voice acting and music are not) and the backgrounds are detailed (for the most part.) Unfortunately that’s the only thing Imma Yujo has going for it. Here comes more bad news I’m afraid….
As I said characters are very Ulysses-ish (i.e. ugly) and this is not a good thing when you’re trying to sell a hentai movie. Despite hints towards some tender shoujo-ai during the first twenty minutes this movie will leave viewers cold in terms of TLC… Instead we’re treated to S&M and witch burnings.
The music on display sounds as if it’s been taken from a Sega Megadrive game all tinny and headache educing. The seiyu too are awful performing the usual repeated noises and slurps. Yawn.
The most unsettling thing about Imma Yujo 4 is the climax (ah ha – Ed) gritty and vomit educing. Blood everywhere and gruesome bondage… This movie is not going to appeal to everyone – in fact it’s not going to appeal to anyone – best left well alone.
