More Points of Review

5 sevens, 4 sixes, 2 fives, 1 two, 1 four and a question mark.  This sums up the last 2 months reviews in a single sentence yet we need a minimum of 400 words to sum up one review so how can 15 be shown in one meagre sentence? Simple in the end all the reviews come down to one thing the score at the foot of the page and thankfully these scores have been talked about as we intended and we’ve got people sending us e-mails congratulating us and in equal proportions hating us for our criticisms of their favourite anime.  This in some ways is a good thing in terms of feedback but in other ways it simply shows that the Irish anime fan cares too much for the old faithful series and cannot accept that maybe their favourite anime have aged and perhaps there’s better movies out there.  By now you may have figured out what I’m building up to.  AKIRA “7 out of 10”.  That’s right not “Excellent” or “Highly Recommended” just “Recommended” this had a lot of people ready to kill us [if you can kill someone through words alone] and shows that perhaps our reviews do count to a select few.  I’d like to take this opportunity to thank those who raved at us and to tell them that the review score will not change any time soon perhaps in the next year it could go down another mark AKIRA “6 out of 10” imagine that.  I guess the fate of AKIRA’s rating rests on Otomo himself if Memories is the “best anime ever” then it will indeed drop another mark for the meantime be happy that we like AKIRA enough to give it a prestigious 7! I doubt Manga Entertainment will ever use it for advertising though!

Until next time sayonara!
