Comments:
Every year, the week before Homecoming, each day is devoted to a different excuse for dressing up. One of these days was 'Sports Day', and instead of doing the norm and wearing some York High athletic shirt or uniform actually played, me and my friend Christina made Quidditch uniforms for the house of Ravenclaw at Hogwarts School. It was a bit of a last minute conglomoration, but I think it turned out okay. People kept asking if I was a 'York' Quidditch player (our school colors are blue and gray) and I was like "No, you fools! Blue is Ravenclaw's color? Geeze, if you're not in Gryffindor, you're no one, hmm?!" Although there's no outward sign, Christina and I had dubbed ourselves 'Chasers'.

Character Info: In the world of Harry Potter, England's primary school of witchcraft and wizardly (Hogwarts) is divided into four houses for the students to be sorted into. Gryffindor, Harry's own house is home to those who are brave and bold. Slytherin holds those who desire power above all else. Hufflepuff honors compassion and good nature, while Ravenclaw prizes intelligent and intellect most of all. Each house has a Quidditch team, the sport most commonly played amoung wizards, involving a broomstick and three types of balls. Teams have seven members: three Chasers, two Beaters, a Keeper and a Seeker. The Chasers control the 'quaffle' ball, trying to put it through one of three hoops on opposite ends of the pitch. The Beaters have sticks and try to hit the other team's members with the 'bludger' balls. The Keeper defends the hoops, and the Seeker is only after the tiny 'golden snitch' ball which is worth the most points. When the snitch is caught, the game is over.
