| Character: Hyuga Neji Series: Naruto Style: series version Debut: November 2003 Cons: Nekocon 2003 Cost: about $25 Comments: So not only did I have to make the costume, but this particular one had to be able to fall off at a moment's notice. The punch-line of our skit was an elaborate 'Sexy no Jitsu' attack involving four of the cast members to "strip down". Underneathe the costume was a flesh colored body suit and white lingerie. The shirt was made from scratch, the pants were pre-owned, and both were sewn together at the waist, slit up the sides and lined with God knows how many little circles of velcro. The head protector was also made from scratch with a little "Leaf" symbol painted on it with puff paint. As for the "sandals"...well, those were just toe-less socks. Thankfully, the costume did not fall off before the pre-arranged moment in the skit, but I don't think I'll ever be able to get it back on again. It's one of those one-time-deals ^^. Character Info: A member of the Leaf village, Neji uses the TaiJutsu styles of attack, unique to the Hyuga family. This technique allows incredible damage to be done to the opponent at the slightest touch, reaching inside and damaging the Chakras and eventually the inner organs. As part of the Hyuga house, a branch of the original clan, Neji will never be able to become the leader of the Genin, although he is still considered to be one of the most talented and dangerous members. |
