| Character: Duo Maxwell Series: Gundam Wing Style: TV series Debut: October 2000 Cons: Nekocon 3, Katsucon 007 Cost: $10 Comments: Yes, $10. The only part of the costume I had to buy was the hat. Ten bucks. I just braided my hair and off I went to my first convention as my favorite bishounen. The only picture that I have been able to find is of me singing karaoke to Toki ni Ai Wa from the Utena movie. Unfortunately I was not able to attend the Saturday of Nekocon 3, so the only picture I could find was on Fansview.com. I also wore this costume the first day of Katsucon 007, but I was in it for about four hours before we headed back to the hotel. It was great though to have fangirls running up to me, screaming : DUO!! Character Info: Duo Maxwell was born as an orphan on the L2 colony and was part of a gang led by a boy named Solo. When Solo died, Duo took on the name 'Duo' because he promised to keep Solo in his heart. The 'Maxwell' part comes from the Maxwell Church which was destroyed by OZ later in Duo's childhood. He goes on the pilot the Gundam Deathscythe under the tuteledge of Professer G. While fans consider him the most joyful of the five Gundam pilots, it is soon discovered that he harbors an inner pain which he hides under his cheery exterior. Many fans have also come to believe that Duo partakes in yaoi (homosexual) relations with his fellow pilot, Heero Yuy. Kyoryoku Nazo is one of them ^_^. |
