| Character: Dratini Series: Pokemon Style: 'pokemon-girl' style, original concept Debut: February 2003 Cons: Katsucon 9 Cost: about $30 Comments: Of all the cosplays that I've done, I'm the least proud of my original attempt at Dratini. With the recent release of the new Pokemon for the GBA, I felt it necessary to re-confirm my guilty love for the game. Instead of designing the cosutme 'skanky' like last time, I went for a more raver-girl concept, showing signifigantly less skin. The pants and jacket were bought with the white panel sewn down the front. The hat was made from scratch out of blue and white fleece. I didn't even use a pattern ^_^. I'm very proud of that hat by the way. The finishing touch is the gold and glittery Poke-ball medallion made by hand out of sculpy clay. My friend Kim was with me as 'Bitches-Love-Me Pikachu' as well as Sean wearing his trademark jersey from Pokemon Center NewYork. We're all such geeks. I love it ^_^. Character Info: In the official Pokedex on Pokemon.com, Dratini is listed as #147. It is a 'dragon type' pokemon and transforms into Dragonair as level 30 and Dragonite at level 55. It is also absolutely adorable. |
