Most of the materials in the costume were pre-owned. The full body black pants and leotard were pre-owned, the boots were borrowed from Lauren of Dark Muffins, and most of the materials for the cape, hat, and shoulder pads were already in my possession. The clay for the hat, neck and belt medallions had to by purchased, sculpted and painted. The brown shoulder strap is clasped onto the leotard, as it the cape/shoulder pads piece. The hat was made entirely from scratch and has two hair barettes inside to keep it from falling off during the movement-involved cosplay skit. The wrist guard were also made from scratch, using thick wire to keep the shape, and left-over vinyl from the Alexiel costume. My hair was dyed and skin painted for the costume, as well as having my breasts bound to try and create the idea of masculinity. It was hell, but darling I looked fabulous!

Character Info: D is a half vampire, half human, also known as a dampeal. No one is sure of his exact age, but in the first movie it is claimed that he is a descendant of Dracula himself. The second movie, Bloodlust, leaves his past IN the past, and focuses more on his current state of being. He is forced to avoid sunlight for long amounts of time, due to his lineage, and also must deal with the parasite living in his hand, which manifests as an unattractive face. The being, known simply as 'Hand' provides comic relief, and a direct mirror of D's stoicism. Although he is incredibly beautiful, D remains aloof and presumably celibate. Lord help him if Rose ever finds a way to dive into her tv-set.

A picture at Otakon on early Friday, in a rendition of the cosutme I call 'Vampire Hunter Double D'
The half-finished costume at AMA. And people loved it then ^_^.
Here's a nice shot outside the Otakon artist gallery thanks to DeathCom.
After not getting to sing in the Karaoke Gong Show, the Dark Muffins girls strike up a pose. From left to right: Kyory as D, Lauren as Leilia, Rose as Charlotte, and Michelle as Bengi.
Right before our not-so-award-winning (but still damn fun) cosplay, we met up with another Charlotte. She was in the wedding dress, while Rose was in the dubbed 'Kidnap Dress'.
