It had now been one convention-year since we at Dark Muffins have sat in the audience during the cosplay skits. This Nekocon, it will be our first anniversary for cosplaying. The only way this year's Otakon could have been better would be if we actually won ^_^. Unfortunately, this was DM's first prizeless cosplay. However, hopes are still high, and our Nekocon V skit is already underway.
For those who haven't seen the movie, Bloodlust is a classic vampire story, where the powerful Meier Link "kidnaps" Charlotte, the rich man's daughter. He hires the dampeal hunter known as D, as well as a bounty-hunter group to track the vampire down. Leilia, one of the hunters befriends D, and they soon discover that Charlotte left with Meier willingly, as they are in love. In response to the pursuit, Meier sends three of his minions, known as the Barbarois after the hunters. They all end up eventually at a castle that plays host to the ghost of Carmilla, another powerful vampire. She tricks Charlotte and bites her (Meier had refused to) and in grief, Meier stops his attack on D, and mourns over the body of Charlotte. D and Leilia go their seperate ways, but many years later, once Leilia has died of old age, D is seen at her funeral and lays some flowers on her grave. |
