What Can I Say?

“Kai--! W-Wait up!”

“Huh?”

Max? Go****n it! Why the hell is he following me?! Doesn’t he get it?!

“Can I go too? I *really* wanna go with you!”

“Can’t you just—go away?”

“Yeah sure! I’ll go away with you!”

I slapped my forehead in frustration. It was either he was purposely annoying me or, he was just plain stupid. “Listen, I know this whole friendship thing is a big deal for you. But—the idea doesn’t click with me.” Yeah, that’s it. Just go nice and slow this time, Kai.

At that time I really wanted to explode.

“How come?”

Coz’ it’s stupid. Okay, so maybe that wasn’t an appropriate response, let’s see…

“I’d like to work solo, you know.”

Much better.

“But--! That’s so boring! You wanna be a hermit or something?” He asked curiously.

“Haha. Funny.” I answered flatly.

He didn’t get it. Oh well, I guess if you have the brain size of a walnut you wouldn’t get me either. And Max’s brain is definitely that of a walnut’s.

“Wait! We can always try! We can try being friends!” He took a hold of my arm and practically dragged me out of the hotel. Once we got out I hastily pulled my arm out of his grip since it began to freaking hurt.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!”

“We’re going out! To the amusement park!”

“No way! No going out! No amusement park! There is no way I’m going out on some kiddie ride and--!”

Oh great, he’s using that go****n hurt expression that I am having a really hard time ignoring this time, which I really don’t understand why.

“Okay, Whatever.” I struggled not to say it but it came out of force!

Those cerulean blue eyes lit up and his lips formed the usual smile that stuck to his face.

And now I find myself asking. Why did I do this?
