Kynight awoke to find Raggletag missing. Wondering what was going on, she got up and when in search of him.
“There you are... what’s wrong?” Kynight asked knowing something was wrong.
“Why do you treat me bad?” Raggletag asked with back towards Kynight.
“Treat... Honey, what are you talking about?” Kynight said quickly going to him.
“You know what I’m talking about!” Raggletag hissed, pulling away.
“No, I don’t.” Kynight cried, not understanding anything at all.
“Like the time I wanted to talk to you at the Sisterhood tower! You told me to get out!” Raggletag screamed pulling farer away.
“We were counting votes! What would everyone think?! That the count was
rigged! If it was that important you could you have asked me to come outside and talk?!”
Kynight asked in shock, to her this was common sense.
“No, you always treated me bad!” Raggletag commented.
“Tell me and we’ll work it out! Honey, please I love you, we can work
everything out!” Kynight pleaed, begging for understanding.
Raggletag got quite and then walked away.
Kynight was shocked, Raggletag had closed his mind to her. The shock was numbing.
“Raggletag?” Kynight whispered as she went after him.
“Maybe we could work it out....” Raggletag said with his back to Kynight. Kynight felt the light of hope warm her soul, she believe in Raggletag.... she had faith in both of them to work everything out.
Kynight smiled and put her arms around Raggletag, Raggletag gave Kynight a shaky smile.
“No.” Kynight whispered as tears formed, she had given this being her heart, soul and body, and now he didn’t mean a word he had said to her.
Raggletag came awake to the quite face of Kynight as she got up and went to the kitchen. Raggletag followed, he knew that Kynight had figured out the truth. Kynight sat down and watched Raggletag as he came into the room.
“Why?” Kynight asked as the tears flowed from her ptics.
“I don’t feel the same.” Raggletag said as he sat down tears flowing out.
“Isn’t there any way we can work this out? Can’t you forgive me for the things I have done?” Kynight asked as she look at Raggletag.
“No, I can’t. I love you, but not the same. I keep thinking how I can do things without you, but that isn’t right, I can’t use you like that.” Raggletag said as Kynight closed her optics.
“Why did you say we could work it out? Why didn’t you tell me before we.... why, Raggletag, why?” Kynight cried, feeling the pain in her heart, seemly break it.
“I felt guilty... “ Raggletag whispered looking away.
Kynight nodded, “So it is over? Just like that...... just one thing left to do, I will get a ship ready for you.”
Kynight watched as the ship with Raggletag broke through Paixen space, then turned to her children, tears ran down their faces as they watched their father leave them.
“You will find many let downs in life, but don’t let it stop you from learning from your mistakes. Don't worry children, we will survive. Just remember I love you, and will be here even if no one else will be.” Kynight said as she bend down hugging her children.
Kynight slowly lend back in her chair and stared at the computer screen.
“You just going to let things go like this?” Unicron asked from the shadows, frowning hard, he would never admit it but he hated to see Kynight in such pain.
“There is nothing to do, I will continue as I always have.” Kynight said as she turned and gave Primus a look, both Gods had been haunting her for days.
“You could destroy the universe. Then no one would be around to brother you.” Unicron said as Primus glared at him.
“That would solve nothing! What is done is done! No one can change
that!” Primus roared out as he lend forward.
“Perhaps, but it would make her feel better!” Unicron sneered darkly at the Light God. Primus raised his fist and shook it.
“That is it! Leave, both of you! NOW!” Kynight hissed as she slammed her fists into the desk. Both Gods remained still until Gaea hissed softy causing both Gods to quickly fled the room.
“Beep! Beep!” Came from the door as Eolian walked in, a pained
expression appeared on her face plate as she watched Kynight return to staring at the computer screen.
“Your fuel sister has gone home, she said she need some time to deal with all of this.” Eolian whisper trying not to let her feeling come through. Kynight didn’t react as she turned her head to Eolian.
“That is okay, Eolian, it is her choice, I did all I could. Eolian, I want you to seal the gate. Unfortunately, this leave Paix exposed to an attack if they would choose to.” Kynight ordered as she silently thanks her sister for the good times they had and for returning Glacterra to her.
Kynight didn’t react as Eolian bent her head and left. Once outside Eolian lend against the hall and cried, she hated to see Kynight in so much pain.
“Gaea, what’s happening to me?” Kynight whispered as her arms came
around her body, pain echoed through every circuit.
“Beep, Beep!” The door chimed again as Kynight quickly put on a flat
expression, even as the pain began to intensify.
“Hi, ..........Kynight, dear, is everything okay?” Sin asked as Kynight’s children stared wide opticed at their mother.
“Sin, please take the children until I call for you, I have things to attend to.” Kynight hissed out to the shocked group. Sin could tell something was terrible wrong, Kynight’s color was changing and that usually meant that death was near.
“Of course. Come children, let us go find Eolian.” Sin quickly said as she ran out of the room with them.
Once outside, Kynight transformed into her Decepticon jet mode and took to the Paixen skies and the to space and a dimensional portal. Without thought Kynight ran from her home and loved ones, crossing dimension. Once outside the portal away from Paix, Kynight change back to her Autobot robot form and curled up into a tight, tense ball.
“I’m dying aren’t I, Gaea?” Kynight asked as fuel poured down from her mouth, showing that her insides were breaking down.
“Not if I can help it.” Gaea answered as she moved into the damage area, and began to repair what she could. Kynight suddenly screamed as the pain invaded her mind, causing old memories to surface.
“No.... I’m going mad now too, aren’t I? Why?” Kynight cried feeling the sound of metal being bent. Imagines ripped through Kynight conscious mind causing more pain, physical and emotional.
“Your bonding circuits are destroying you.. Though I expect that the same is happening to your one time mate too.” Gaea muttered in frustration, she had to work fast to save Kynight from a total breakdown. Kynight screamed again feeling herself starting to lose conscious from the deep rooted pain. Gaea quickly order Kynight’s body to release an numbing agent to try to ease her pain.
“I’m betrayed one last time.” Kynight cried as her own body began to betray her.
“Sleep, tomorrow will be another day.” Gaea said as she began to repair the damage done by lost love. Gaea had release chemicals into Kynight’s body to force her to sleep so she could get to work.
“What, nothing... you live, of course, thanks to me.” Gaea said in Kynight’s mind, a bit smugly.
“No. Gaea what have you done?” Kynight cried as she did a systems check.
“More then anyone else, that is for sure. I repaired you system, everything was being destroy, but now you will live and I will be here for you also.” Gaea said in total confined.
“You... you are part of me! I ... what....” Kynight said as the shock set in, Gaea had mingled their life forces.
“Yes, you can’t live without me.. I am kinda like a drug to you. You need me as much as I need you.” Gaea seemed to sneer as she said this, for she would live as long as Kynight lived now.
“No!” Kynight screamed as finally rage set in. Rage at so many things that had hurt her. Without any thought Kynight called up the staff of Antiquities and took aim. The first planet shattered into more pieces then one person could count. All the pain Kynight felt over the lost of love and the betrayal of friends surfaced. Time past by Kynight didn’t feel it as she lashed out at the world, knowing that there was not justice for the broken hearted.
Gasping, Kynight realized her system was on the edge of shutting down from her rampage.
“It is time to leave this waste land.” Gaea said quietly as she opened the portal back to Paix. Kynight turned to leave and stopped short.
“What have I done?” Kynight remarked as she took in the smashed planets.
“You are part destroyer. I accept the darkness in you as no one else could. You know this within your heart. No one else accepted this in you.” Gaea answered. Kynight shook slightly as regret built for all the lives lost.
“We can’t have that!” Gaea said as she eraser the regret and took over Kynight’s motor skills, forcing her through the portal.
“At least you are alive.” Primus said from across the room . Sitting up, Kynight noticed that Unicron was there also, a look worry on both their face plates.
“My dear parents, don’t feel sorry for me. I wasn’t the one who made the mistake, and I have Gaea now. You both know that with Gaea I whole.” Kynight said darkly as she nudged Gaea awake. Primus and Unicron looked at each other then at Kynight.
“The humans have an old saying, revenge is a dish best served cold.” Kynight said softly as she suddenly jumped up and moved towards the so called Gods, who were simply another life form that created the Transformers. A dark swirl ran for the window and made his escape as a ball of light did the same but for the door.
Kynight smiled as she continued on her way to the bathroom. She would survive and continue, though she doubted that she would ever trust again so lightly and that the new darkness in her soul would be forever be present.
