| Merpeople Mermaids are the legendary people of the sea. When people think of mermaids they think of Disney's Ariel. There are also mermen. Guy merpeople( duh! ) Some Merpeople are brave enough to go ashore or go to the surface, but then they are most like netted or close to getting captured! Mermen Mermen come back to where the were born every year to come and find a mate. Because when they reach a certain age they have to leave the safety of their home to journey and expand their kings empire. Or if they are royal blood start their own somewhere else. That is only so if they are not inherited to the throne! Merfolk Characteristics Mermaidens or mermaids have a female upperbody and then a fish or marine mammal lower body. So they look like the mermaids to the left of the screen! Merpeople can breathe under water. What they didn't show you in the movie " The Little Mermaid" is the merpaople have gills. Merfolk Games Merpeople love to play games and have fun. They like to play tag and chase each other around. They also like to ride a hippocampus. A hippocampus is half horse half fish. They have a horse upperbody and a fishs' tail. The Merfolk warriors also ride hippocampuses to war with their tridents. Mermaid Royalty The merpeople answer to a king and a queen. They are the ones who have the grand palaces and sea gardens. The king has a trident at all times. It is equal to a crown and septer for human kings and queens and a sword to a knight. So if you haven' t figured it out it is a symbol of power. |

| You leave the safety of the main realm and begin to wander westward. You take a trail that is marked MerLake Path and start to follow the winding trail down hill. You get to the lake and find and dock made of wood and bound reeds. At the dock there is a small reed boat that looks sturdy enough to hold your wieght. You decide to get on the small boat. As you do a sign says: West - Ocean of the Mer - 15 miles South - South MerLake - 58 miles North - North MerLake - 22 miles South East - MerIsland - 14 miles You decide to go West first to Ocean of the Mer. You begin to pick up the paddle to head off when your hand knocks against a glass bottle. A paper is in the wine bottle. The paper is dry because there was a cork in the opening of the bottle. You open the the bottle and began to read the paper. |
