Sisters Page
My sister, Kirsten and I are more than just sisters we are best friends.  We are total opposites..she is the clean freak, I am the messy one.. She is a typical Cancer Sign.. hard on the outside and soft as a marshmallow inside..IShe cant leave the house wihtout looking perfecto..while I can roll outta bed throw on clothes and I am good to go. But I think part of these reasons among others is why we get along so well. I think we even out the goods and bads of each other. One thing for sure I miss her so much. Now that I am married I have had to move away as she has too, I can honestly say I miss her ALOT. Thank goodness  its cheap to call her from Korea, because we burn some serious phone time. Hopefully someday we will again live near each other.

It all started in 1972, when I guess I was a lonely lil 5 yr old and wanted a brother or sister. I must have hounded my parents long enough, and heck there is only so much a barbie is going to cut it. So sure enough on July 13, my lil sister was born.
Growing up because of the 5 yr gap she had her friends and I had mine..but one good thing is that we always resorted to each other. We have the best parents any kid could ask for and poor dad was overwhemled with the overload of estrogen in the household. I guess that why when we asked for a dog...he got a boy one ;-)
Whenever we get together we laugh like crazy..and slowly find ourselves realizing " Oh my Gawd...we are turning into Ma!"
The more time I spend with my sister now the more I laugh and laugh...last time I went home to visit we slept at my parents cape house...we were in the same bedroom with twin beds...just like when we were little kids...and we laughed and laughed like we were kids again...till we fell asleep.

Time Will Never Change the Love We Share as Sisters

Time has changed our secrets
and the pigtails in our hair;
It has changed the silly arguments
and the giggles that we shared.
It has changed our childish happiness
to grown-up make-believe,
And leaving us with little else,
it has slowly changed
our dreams....

Time has come along and changed
the essence of our world;
Then finally and silently,
it has changed the little girls.
But having taken away the dreams
and the simple things we shared before.
Time has led us to the lasting things
we need each other for...

Memories of moments
that were made for us to share,
The crazy laughter
that's somehow always there,
The hidden corners of our lives
only we will ever know,
And the love that becomes deeper
and sweeter as it grows.

Time changes many things
and some dreams come apart,
But nothing can reach or change
the love for you
that lives within my heart.
