Chapter 04: Nurse and Colonel

 

“So, Hydra was defeated...”

“This is not according to plan.”

“It can’t be helped.  None of us expected the Blue Moon to awaken then - even they didn’t know.”

“Just admit that you failed.  So I guess it’s my turn now?”

“Very well, but so not make this same mistake as well.”

“This is just a minor setback.  The operation will continue, but we must be more careful from now on.  Now that they have the awakened both weapons.”

“TEO!!!” All of them said at once

‘U-uhh... I’m... where is...’ Axess said weakly

 

Axess did not know where he was.  His body felt as light as a feather, but he was still too weak to move at all.  Everywhere he looked it was the same – vast nothingness.

 

Then all of a sudden, the same blue light appeared before him.  This time he could see the figure of a person within the light, though he could not recognize who it was

‘You are...’ Axess said

‘You who have received the will, I implore you.  Use the Blue Moon and bring back this world to balance.’

‘What do you... AH!’

 

Axess suddenly felt something between his legs.  It spread from there to his entire body.  It was so sudden that he closed his eyes in reflex.  When he opened them, he was looking straight at a fluorescent light hanging above him.

 

“W-where am I?” he said out loud

“So you’ve awakened.” A familiar voice said

 

Axess realized that he was lying down on a bed.  He then lifted his head and looked at where the voice came from.  As he did, he saw Stream.  She was bandaged up in many parts, but she was still looking well – still wearing her school uniform.  She was wiping her mouth with her right hand, while holding his penis with the other.

 

“I told you it would work.” Said another voice

 

Axess was still not completely conscious, so it took a while before he realized what was going on.  He first examined himself, and noticed that he was wearing white pajamas.  Then...

 

“W-what are you doing!!!” Axess screamed out loud, drawing himself away from Stream and covering his revealed genitals.  When he did feel him touching his thing, he suddenly remembered something

 

“What just...” he said, examining his right arm.  He could have sworn that his right arm was covered in something before he lost consciousness.  However, it was now back to a normal arm that was wearing Stream’s armguard.

 

“If the batteries are dead, what do you think will happen to a flashlight?” Stream said, in a very disappointed tone that’s reflected in her face as well.

 

“Wh-what do you mean? AND WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE???” Axess shouted as he remembered the first thing he saw after waking up.

 

“Your vital signs were steadily dropping.” said the other voice

 

Axess looked to his left, and saw a woman in her mid 20’s wearing a lab coat.  It was unbuttoned, so he could see that she was wearing a pink V-neck that matched her shoulder-length pink hair and a white mini-skirt.

 

“We’ve tried everything to bring you back to consciousness – CPR, electrocution, but nothing.  We had to use the last resort.  If your vital signs kept dropping, then I wouldn’t be talking with you right now.”

 

“W-who are you?” Axess asked the woman

 

“Oh, sorry.  I almost forgot.  I’m Dr. Mara Suwa, head physician of this facility.”

 

“Facility?” Axess asked, still somewhat confused “W-where is this?”

 

“I’m afraid I can’t tell that to you two.”

 

“’You two’... so that means...”

 

Axess looked beyond the woman, and he saw Manny sitting in an identical bed.  He was looking all red in the face, and both his hands were on his penis.  It was as if he too was suppressing it.

 

“The same with him.  This was the only thing that worked.  That just proves that you two are - ”

 

“That’s enough, Doctor.” Stream said as she suddenly stood up, her gaze fixed at Manny

 

“Oh! Right...” Dr. Suwa replied

 

“Since they haven’t fully recovered yet, I’ll leave them here until they do.” Stream said as she headed for the door, in an angry and commanding tone. 

 

“OW!!!”

 

Stream was just about to leave, when she was knocked backwards by something at the door.  She bumped into someone.

 

“Watch where yo – “ she bagan, in her still angry tone “Oh...”

 

Axess can’t clearly see what was going on from where he was, but he concluded from Stream’s drop in the tone of voice that the person she just bumped into was someone important.

 

“Is he already awake?” said a deep manly voice from the door

“Yes, father.”

 

‘Father?’ Axess thought

 

As Stream pulled herself up, footsteps came from the doorway.  Axess then saw to whom the voice belonged.  Before him stood a middle-aged muscular man – perhaps in his mid 30’s – wearing a T-shirt, black slacks, and combat boots.  On his left side was a sword in its sheath.  There was also a long scar in his right arm.

 

“So you’re the one?” He asked Axess

 

Axess just nodded, without even knowing what the question really entailed.  The man then moved closer and grabbed his right arm.

 

“And who’s the other one?” he asked, without letting go of Axess

 

“His friend.  However...” Stream then moved forward and whispered something

“I see...” the man replied “But that still remains to be seen.”

 

“Uhmm...” Axess began

“Oh, sorry.” The man said, letting go of Axess’s arm.  “What’s your name?”

“Eguze... Axess Eguze.”

“So you DO have the same surname...” He then looked towards the other bed “And you are?”

“M-manny, s-sir... M-Manny Ackeys...”

“No need to call me ‘sir’, kid.”

“Yeah, you should call him ‘Colonel’.”  Dr Suwa said, following with a laugh

 

The man then looked at Dr. Suwa, thinking that this was obviously not a laughing matter.  The doctor quickly realized the situation and stopped laughing.  She then walked away from them.

 

“Ehem” The man said, clearing his throat.  “As she just said, I am a Colonel.  Colonel Nanga Hassa, head of this base.”

“W-wait a minute.” Axess said. “Didn’t Stream call you ‘father’? So why don’t you have the same surnames?”

“Haven’t you realized it yet?” Stream said, now back in her angry tone “He’s not my REAL father.”

“Oh...”

“Well, anyway” the colonel began “It seems you two were caught up in an issue of this base.  Though luckily enough, you both survived.  However...”

 

“Excuse me, Colonel.” Dr Suwa said, returning with a pushcart.  On it was a small jar of capsules and two glasses of water

“Very well.” The colonel replied, realizing the situation

 

She went in between Axess and Manny’s beds.  She then opened up the jar, and took out two capsules.  They were oblong-shaped, colored pink on one side and something like a pale white color on the other.

 

“Here, take one.  It’ll help.” She said to Axess.

 

Without any hesitation, Axess just took the capsules and used one full glass to gulp it down.

 

“You too.” She said as she now faced Manny

 

Like Axess, Manny didn’t also ask any questions.  He just took the capsule and used the other glass as well.  He suddenly noticed that he could clearly see that the doctor was wearing a pink bra with matching string panties inside.  However, he wasn’t looking at the doctor from above.  In fact, she was just standing right beside him.  It was as if he could see right through her clothes. 

 

“Hey, are you alright?” Doctor Suwa asked; since Manny was trying not to make the water he was drinking go out of his nose

“I’m fine...” Manny said, replying with his head down.

“Ehem. As I was saying” Col. Hassa began “You two showed certain” he then paused, as if thinking for the right word “abilities', that this base has been looking for a long time.  Abilities that are similar in nature to Stream’s.” he said, as he pointed her out.

“Abilities? I don’t understand.  Like what?”

“Perhaps it would be better if you came with us.  This isn’t the right place to tell you everything.” He then looked at Dr. Suwa “Doctor, I would also like to ask you to come.”

“Of course.” She replied

“W-wait.” Manny said, now looking up “I-I don’t think we can stand up yet...”

“Huh? Shouldn’t they be kicking in by now?” Col. Hassa asked Dr. Suwa

 

Axess suddenly felt his strength return to him.  It was as if he had a good night’s rest in just a few minutes.  Of course, the same was true for Manny.

 

“So those capsules...” Axess said

“Are you just going to sit there all day, or are you coming?” Stream said
