| DEATH OF MRS. WEICKGENANT |
| Mrs. Theresa Weickgenant, wife of Christopher Weickgenant, died at 10'oclock this morning at the family residence, corner of Van Buren and North Division Streets. The deceased has been in poor health for some time, but for three months past has been quite ill, having suffered terribly with acute heart trouble. No apprehensions, however, for this sudden termination of the disease was felt by the family. Mrs. Weickgenant was known and highly respected by a large circle of friends. She was a devout member of St. Philips church and an examplary wife and mother. The family have the utmost sympathy of their aquaintances in their irreparable loss. Besides her husband, Mrs. Weickgenant leaves four daughters, Mrs. L. Geise, Mrs. M. O'Malley and Misses Anna and Minnie Weickgenant, all of this city. Miss Minnie Weickgenant is a student at St. Mary's School, Monroe, and has been telegraphed for. Rev. Father Zabler of Louisville, Ky., brother of the deceased is also expected to arrive sometime tonight. Mrs. Weickgenant has resided in Battle Creek nearly half a century, and has spent all of her married life here. No arrangements for the funeral have been made. |
