| Beatrice Marion (Walsh) Bauman, 77, of Battle Creek, died Monday, March 11, 1996, in Battle Creek Health System after a long illness. She had been hospitalized since February 28. She was born January 22, 1919, in Tyre to Walter and Susan (McMillan) Walsh and moved to the area in 1936 from Tyre. She graduated from Ubly High School in 1936 and from Mercy College of Nursing in 1939. She was employed at Leila Hospital as a registered nurse and also did private duty nursing and home-care nursing. She married Joseph F. Bauman on June 28, 1941, in Tyre. He died January 21, 1994. Also preceding her in death were brothers, Maurice Walsh and Raymond Walsh, and a sister, Lila Lamphere. Surviving are sons, Joseph F. Bauman of Cary, Ill., James R. Bauman of California, William P. and David M. Bauman of Grand Rapids, and Maurice L. Bauman of Battle Creek; daughters Kathleen M. Maddix and Mary Sue Lawson of Battle Creek; 28 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Lee, Michael, Mark "Pete", Louis, and Walter "Joe" Walsh of Ubly and Daniel Walsh of Farmington; and a sister, Susan Brown of LaMesa, Calif. -Community involvement, hobbies: Member of Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Middleville. -Visitation: At the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, where a vigil and rosary service will be held at 7pm. An additional vigil service will be held Friday at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home, Ubly. -Services: Funeral Mass Saturday in Ubly. -Burial: St. Ignatius Cemetary, Sanilac County. -Memorials: Marian E.
