| Rev. Maurice Walsh of Austin, Sanilac county, has been named by Bishop John Foley as assistant to Rev. Anthony Burke of St. Philip's parish, succeeding Rev. Raymond Fleming, who has been advanced to the pastorate of the church in Harbor Beach. Father Walsh took a three years business course in St. Joseph's college at Detroit, and his religious studies were prosecuted at Sandwich College, Ontario, and at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, Md. He has recently been ordained and comes highly recommended as a young priest of zeal and energy. Father Walsh begins his duties in the local parish on Friday. |
