Former Resident of This City Dies Near Marshall After Long Illness -- Was Popular in Battle Creek

Miss Agnes Barbara Bauman passed away at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bauman on the river road just east of marshall in Marengo township at 7:45 o'clock Friday evening.  She had been in poor health since March, 1911, and last May her parents purchased the Jasper Tucker farm and moved here from Battle Creek in the hope that the change would be beneficial to the health of the daughter.
Miss Bauman was born in Buffalo 24 years ago last June and was educated in the schools in that city.  She removed to Battle Creek 11 years ago with her parents and continued her studies here.  After graduating she opened a ladies' tailoring emporium and was engaged in this work until her health compelled her to close out her business.
She is survived by her parents and two brothers, William, who resides at home and Joseph who resides on Hunter street in this city.
Miss Bauman was a young lady of pleasing personality and popular in social circles in Battle Creek.  She was a faithful member of St. Philip's church of this city until she removed to Marengo when she became a member of St. Mary's parish.
The funeral will occur from St. Mary's church in Marshall Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock.  The solemn requiem high mass will be celebrated by Father Cahalan, assisted by Fathers Burke and Walsh of St. Philip's church of Battle Creek.  Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetary.
