Hiya!  So glad you stopped by! Sorry the place is such a mess right now. I've been so busy decorating and redecorating that things are hardly fit for company right now.  Ah, but I'll do my best to make you feel at home.  So go ahead, have a seat and get cozy...Oh! Woops!  Watch out for Francie the cat.  He does tend to like to be right where you are.
Okay, that's better.  Now we can talk!
So, you want to know about me? Well, it's hard to say where I should start.  I guess I'll start with the basics: I'm a 33 year old,  married Christian mom. We own a 100+ year old house in the historic disctrict of a small college town. My  hubby is from the area originally--this very town in fact.  But  I'm not.  Born in Indiana, I  lived in several other  states before settling here. My parents--who are still married, I must brag-- still live in Indiana, as does my "baby" brother (he may outweigh and out-height me, but he'll always be the baby to me!) who is 20-somethin'.  He's working hard to earn a living and stay out of trouble. My somewhat younger sister lives a few hours from them,  in Kentucky, with her long-time boyfriend (come on chic---make it "legal" already!) and darling little boy.

Keeping with the trend my parents started,  I myself have 2 girls and a boy.  (Perhaps there'll be an additional child--or two or three--someday?  For now though, three's enough.) Currently, my daughters reside primarily with me, and my son resides primarily with his/their father several hours away.  The distance is tough (and I pray some day he'll either live with me or we'll all live closer together again) but for now what we've got is what we've got, and we do what we can to make it work.

Aside from being involved in my children's activities, church, and community  things (I serve as secretary for the local  Right to Life organization, formed and facilitate their Teens for Life group, and mentor at the Pregnancy Resource Center...Can you tell I am
VERY pro-life?!), when time allows I enjoy using my creative side.  I discovered scrapbooking a few years ago. And if you give me a paint brush and stencils, or a gluegun and materials to put together,  I'm off to the races! (I'd like to learn some woodworking and quilting, but I'm kinda dangerous with sharp objects sometimes LOL) Anyhow, if you'd like, we could talk a little more about my "crafty" interests,  just  venture over to my craft corner.

Ah! But where are my manners? Would you like something to drink first? If so, lets head for the kitchen first. I think you'll find the children there. Or at least my son Z, who's probably making yet another one of his infamous "experiments"...In which case we'd best say "Good-bye clean floor"! ('Course,  whoever said brilliance was tidy?)
