The mission, or call, of Theophilus Productions is to make movies that glorify the Lord while entertaining a mass audience. Entertainment has to be constant, I won't make a movie that doesn't fulfill the audience' desire for escape. Whether outright Christian, allegorically Christian or containing Christian undercurrents, every film has to meet the expectation that it be glorifying to God.

Eventually I believe the Lord has called me to build a Christian production company to rival the likes of Paramount and Warner Bros. Movies are a great tool that can be used for the Lord, but so far this resource has gone mostly untapped. Mel Gibson is doing his thang now which is awesome, but there's still no tentpole Christian movie studio.

On a personal level, and this isn't something the Lord has neccessarily called me to, I'm driven to be the best and most famous director/actor/writer in the history of cinema. Call it outrageous ego, but the challenge to be the best really drives me. I thirst for it in a way mime would explain better than words. Even if/when I get on top of Hollywood, I don't think I will rest until I'm indisputably the best. That sounds so arrogant, but I can't lie, that really is a strong goal I have set for myself. And no I don't think of myself as a genius or anything flaky like that. But through Gods gifts and blessings and hard work I know I can get there. Everything is possible through Christ who strengthens me. "To succeed in (film) you need either a self confidence bordering on delusion, or a love of the work." - Bill Waterson
