The fourth day on set was arguably the best. Well, day 2 was ridiculously successful, so that may be the best. But we got some really solid scenes done, including a montage that will probably be one of the more memorable moments of the movie.
The day consisted exclusively of scenes between Keith and Calvin. It's the last day scheduled like that (besides re-shoots, which we did one today), and will be missed. Doing scenes with me and Sami is easy. We know what we're doing, we work well together and generally have fun on set. Nate Archer is fun to hang around and he's always there, and with him comes his friend Peter Natalia (or Big Perm as he calls himself). Pete knows what's up and he does a really good job.
Our first scene was out in the woods, so we drove about 15 minutes into the middle of nowhere to shoot. It was beautiful out there! Needless to say we got a bunch of unneccessary shots of trees and such. They serve as good transition pieces though. The scene is short, but it shows a lot about Keith and Calvin. It's pretty funny also.
We got a funny behind the scenes take of Nate as bigfoot. Nate really resembles Mighty Joe Young and we capitalized on that.
We drove home to shoot a few scenes in the dreadful room that we have shot a lot of already. Everybody is getting sick of that darn room. Thank the Lord we only have one more scene to shoot there, the rest is location stuff.
