| Truman and Eisenhower - Truman's speeches were based on helping other countries in order for containment of communism. i.e. Truman Doctrine - Eisenhower's speeches compared communism to a row of domino's, and if one country falls to communism, the rest will too. - This is a reference to Vietnam and the Middle East. - Kennedy was involved in the Berlin Crisis - His speeches raised support for peace. - Clinton wanted to create more American jobs by lowering the differences in cost production between America and Mexico under NAFTA. - Bush campaigned no new taxes, but did not fulfill that campaign. |
