Immigration Act of 1965-  Act that stopped immigration quotas.
  - It allowed more people into the country
  - It helped people who already had relatives in America reunite with them.
  - People previously denied entry were allowed in.

U.S. Patriot Act- Following 9/11, people were paranoid about terrorist attacks
  - Scandalous Act.
  - Some people thought it violated American civil liberties.

MAYO- Mexican American Youth Organization
  - Became a political party to achieve power for Latino's.

Immigration Policy in the 1980's
  - Increased the legal immigration limits and granted legal status to nearly 3 million undocumented immigrants.
