You're welcome to see my x-rays, which clearly show bony changes (arthritis)
in the right hind, and the broken coffin bone in the right fore. I'm sure they
were both present when you purchased Zeke, as neither is a new condition.
I never meant to insult you by sending you those emails, which were only
intended to help me make a decision, and to help you see that Zeke isn't worth what you think he's worth. But I am sorry if you were offended. I guess I can
totally understand how you would end up feeling that way. Sorry.
I will continue to train Zeke, and work on Spanish Walk and Bow. You
shouldn't expect him to be able to do them, however, by the end of November! It
takes a long, long time to learn that, even with a horse as smart as Zeke. I will
show you the cues for both movements before he leaves here, so you can continue
the process.
Zeke is welcome to stay here after November, if you wish, in full board or full training - whatever you want. If you want to market him while he's here,
that's fine, and you'll owe me no commission, as long as I don't have any part in
showing him to buyers. You may also take him out of here at that point, but I do
need thirty days' written notice, so I know what to do with that stall. I will
need a check for $1,039 which includes back training for October, training for
November and expenses. I will mail an amended contract to you today. Please sign
it and return it as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Diana
Comment: This is quite an interesting email. She offers to show me her x-rays. I have no interest in seeing these x-rays as I have my own and have spoken to my own veterinarian about her claims and have determined that they are without basis in fact. I also would never be completely comfortable that these were, indeed, x-rays of ZEKE'S legs. She also claims that I will owe her no commission as long as she has nothing to do with showing him to buyers - that would have been fine; although what she did only made her look foolish since my buyers already knew her story and the truth. This is the first time I have heard about the 30-day notice and I have NEVER received any sort of contract from her although she refers to contracts in several of her emails.
