2004/05/23 This morning Kylie woke us just in time to get in the car and drive up north to Yamagata (the prefecture above Fukushima) (Fukushima is the prefecture above Ibaraki, where we live). The weather was nice, so Kylie and I looked around a famous shrine, Uesugi Shrine, in Yonezawa while her mom was at a demonstration sponsored by a kitchen designer. We had fun. Kylie enjoyed running up and down the hills, occasionally tumbling, but always happy. After, she enjoyed playing hide and seek among the pillars of the museum, and finally, she fell asleep in the waiting for her mommy. For dinner, she enjoyed a wonderful meal of Yonezawa beef, one of the most famous regions for beef in Japan. And it was soooooooooooooo good! |
