Heart-wrenching is the only way to describe it. For the past two days, as I get ready to go to work, Kylie has been watching me, and when I pick up my bag, keys, and wallet, she comes and clings to my legs, begging to be picked up. So I do, of course (who could resist? Who would want to?). Then Kylie motions to the door, chanting "Shoe, shoe, shoe! Let's go!" But then when I give her and her mommy a big hug, she realizes that Daddy is going to work now. And she cries. And it hurts. It hurts so much to leave my wife and baby, even if it is just for 10 hours. Well, I suppose I could quit my job and we could live in the streets... Or maybe I should just keep on working.

"Aw, come on, can't you let me slide on this one officer?"
"Well, Ok. But only because you are so cute!"

"Go Metric!
Or at least fake it!"
