We went on a Hanami, or "Flower Viewing" in Mito today with Wakana and Dai. It was quite nice. Everyone brought food and drinks, and we tried to keep the little ones from running off the cliff (successfully I might add!). They enjoyed looking at all the blossoms of the cherry trees, and after we played in the park until the wind got too chilly. In the park, Kylie and Dai were playing demolition derby with their strollers. Well, not really, but close. It was cute. They pushed them around, squealing with delight. Sometimes they bumped each other, and once Dai almost ran over Kylie. But the key is almost. A fun day under the flowers. |
