| 03/15/2004 Today Kylie, Dai, and Wakana went to Kairakuen, one of Japan's most famous parks, to view the plum blossoms. People come from all over Japan to see them. So the three musketeers ran around under the plum blossoms, and gradually got more and more daring, until Dai escaped over a wall, prompting a frantic chase. And monkey see, monkey do, Kylie started to get rambunctious too. So the three moms decided to go to a coffee shop. Kylie's little chair wouldn't attach to the table, but there was a sofa nearby. They set her on it. When Mayuho's ice tea came, Kylie promptly spilled it all over her mom's jeans, in a most embarassing pattern. Dai drank all of his mom's orange juice in a single gulp. For a few minutes, nothing happened, then Dai re-decorated his mom's vest with used OJ. Finally, Wakana's mom volunteered Wakana's chair for Kylie, as she was very calm and quiet. After that, things seemed to calm down. When Kylie got home, Mayuho thought she would be tired. But no, she went into overdrive, climbing on furniture, picking up the phone and dialing who knows where, and generally being very un-Kylie-like. Could the terrible twos be beginning at age one and two months? In other news, we are beginning to wean Kylie from the breast. She hardly ever drinks during the day, only when she is sleepy. So we are talking to her, praising her, and trying to move away from it gradually. Will it work? Only time will tell. And me of course. I will tell you if it works. So there you have it, only time and Eric will tell. |
