Location: All of the Manticore flashback scenes (that took place in the building) were filmed in an old insane asylum in British Columbia, Canada.
Interaction with other Actors/Actresses: One of the other children in the scene, Geneva Locke (who plays the younger version of Max, the main character) met Kyley. Kyley and Geneva also met up at another audition for a role in "My Guide to Being a Rock Star".
Kyley also got to meet Jessica Alba, the star of "Dark Angel".
"She said hi to me and I was like, so omigod!" Kyley recalls.
Shaving Her Head: According to Geneva, this is how the children shaved their heads:
"Well when I went to the studio there were like 50 other kids that had to shave their heads too, and they took the kids that weren't extras aside into a little group of us so I got to know them really quickly and we all supported each other. When the guy was actually shaving my head I was fine though, I didn't cry afterwards either like a lot of kids."
Before Kyley shaved her head, her hair was the same length as it is in her headshot.
Keeping in Touch: This is also from Geneva:
"I dont keep in touch with Kyley or Chris [he played the younger version of another character], I got Kyley's email at an audition that I saw her at but I lost it. But I should try to keep in touch with Kyley, she's a really sweet girl!"
Geneva also went to Kyley's 13th (estimated from the time of Geneva's response) birthday party.
Stunt Double: Kyley did have a stunt double! Her name is Suzi Stingl. She doubled for Kyley in the scene where Kyley and the other children jumped out of a glass window onto snow.
Jondy in a book, Before the Dawn:
A Dark Angel book, Before the Dawn, is now available! A prequel to the series, Max looks for one of her former Manticore siblings, Seth. Kyley's character, Jondy, is mentioned several times throughout the entire book.
