Summary: Maybe it isn't love. Then again, maybe it is.



So maybe it isn�t love. You�re okay with that.

She makes you happy. That�s the important thing right? She knows that you don�t have a favorite color. She knows that you think that everything tastes better with cheese and/or bacon. She found that seventh grade picture of you-the one where you�ve got braces, acne, and glasses thick enough to burn holes in concrete if you pointed them at the sun right-and didn�t fall out laughing or hound you about it. Well� not for more than a week anyway. You didn�t even mind the laughing. Her laughter is kind of musical. It almost reminds you of the songs of those birds who build nests around your house in April. You heard those birds chirping again yesterday. Now they make you think of springtime and music and her.

You wonder when you got to be so damn poetic.

You think it�s because of her. Then again, everything you do lately has been because of her. Truthfully, you would do anything for her. You think about her all the time. You found yourself daydreaming about her in class the other day. And when you finally saw her, all you could do was smile.

Sometimes, when the two of you are alone, all you want to do is hold her. She�s okay with that. She�ll loop her arms around your neck, and kiss you on the corner of your mouth, and bury her head in the hollow of your shoulder. You�ll stay there, holding her, wondering if there is any better feeling in this world. You seriously doubt it.

You realize that she�s just about the closest thing to perfect as you�re going to find. You wonder if she knows that. She just loops her arms around your neck, buries her head in the hollow of you shoulder, and smiles at you.

So you wonder if maybe it is love. And you smile when you realize you�d be okay with that too.
