A metal bucket sat in the middle of a grassy field. It had obviously been there a
while, as it was surrounded by weeds and was covered with rust. A ragged-edge hole
in the bottom of the bucket gave access to a clump of grass that would otherwise be
stifled, dry and dead. A drop of dew dripped into the bucket from an overhanging
weed. The rust on the bucket vaguely resembled a map of the continent of Asia, but
only in the right kind of light, when sight is nearly impossible.

Sunlight dripped across the field, illuminating not only the bucket, but also the
overgrown weeds, the few pathetic buttercups, a moss-covered log, and a collection
of rocks. Sunlight dripped across the field, illuminating a large expanse of red clay,
tire treads, and footprints. Sunlight dripped across the field, illuminating a
Honda, a Hyundai, an Isuzu, and a Ford F-150. Sunlight dripped across the field,
illuminating the new gas station and the bucket, which resided for a short time
behind the store, before being sent on to the dump by a late-shift worker.
