Camp Was Fun! This was my first time at the Apostolic Christian Boys Camp and it was awsome. This year the theme was

THE LORDS ARMY.

Boy did they make you fell like you were in the Army.I got there on Friday morning. The camp is in Monticello, Il.So we were on the bus for a 1 hour and 1/2.When we got there they loaded us off the bus.When we got of the bus the counselors were screaming,yelling, and blowing whistles.We got our shirts and dog tags(which had our name on them). Then we went to our assigned cabin.Each cabin had 10 people and 5 bunks.Each cabin had its own platoon number.There were 12 cabins I was in Platoon 9.Within your Platoon you had to make 1.Chant/song 2. Flag 3.Poster 4. Cabin March 5.Skit.Each cabin got a piece of the battle armor. Like the belt of truth or the breastplate of righteuosness.Our Platoon's armor piece was the feet shod with the gospel of peace. then the rest of the day was spent playing games like bombartiment,kickball,soccer,vollyball,a swimming test, and a boot camp they set up.Then after all the games we sang praise songs and had a speaker. Then we got dissmissed at 9:30 to shower,brush teeth,change clothes,relax,and talk to your platoon members and your cabins 2 counselors.At 10:00 we had devotions and at 10:30 lights out. The next morning they played the trumpets at 6:30 to wake us up. We at breakfast and they split us up. Half the Platoons went canueing and half the Plattoons went on a scavenger hunt.Our half of the Platoons had the scavenger hunt first.It was not a regular scavenger hunt. People jumped out behind trees and bushes a squirted us with super soakers. You could even be a POW if you didnt be careful.After lunch we got to go canueing, if you passed your swimming test. They paired you with a partner and you went around tipping people from 1:30-4:30.The reason it took 4 hours is because you had to go 10 miles. After the Canue trip we had free time till 5:30. Then we performed our skit and sang our chants.After that we sang more praise music and had the same nightly routine as friday night. Sunday we didnt hafto wake up till 8:00.That morning we ate breakfast and had a worship service.After Worship we had lunch and played the championship bombartiment game And got Camoflage bible covers that say the lords army on it.Then we had to go home. Overall it ws very fun and I suggest it to any 6th,7th,and 8th grader.Dont come if you like not having fun or Excitement.
