Eldorado Question
1a. This poem is a narrative due to the fact that tells a story of a man in seach of Eldorado; Its longer then a usual poem; has the characters of the night and the pilgrim;  a setting-of him riding, conflict-unable to find
Eldorado, series of events that lead to climax and conclusion-getting weaker and
weaker then having the pilgrim tell him where to go; divided in stanzas

In sunshine and in shadow-this is the setting because it creates the mood and kind of environment the story is in.
"In search of Eldorado"-This is the conflict due to the fact that he is unable to find the Eldorado.
Fell, as he found No spot of ground That looked like Eldorado. -this is the exposition because lays the groundwork for the plot and provides the reader with essential information.
Characters are introduced, the setting is described, and the plot begins to unfold.
He met a pilgrim shadow-this is the rising action because it causes the story to take a turn and more elements come into focus.
'Over the Mountains Of the Moon-Climax turning point and place of interest he is told where to go.
Ride, boldly ride,'-falling action event that happens after climax the conflict is resolved.
'If you seek for Eldorado!' -Conclusion because in the denouement, the tangles of the plot are united and mysteries are solved.


2. This is an allusion to the fact that he must climb to the highest heights then move to the lowest lows to find this place. Also that the pilgrim is a shadow and he wants him to enter the shadow


3. The following hyperlink talks about what Eldorado symbolizes what Eldorado might be because it talk later about leading into a valley of the shadow but yet at the same time never really confirms what Eldorado really is so I believe that the text sums it all up.


4. The first use of diction gives a connotation of his journey when he says song he means his journey has had good times and hard times just like songs have fast times and slow times The second use of diction gives a connotation of although strong and a great night he would need help to get to this treasure. The Last use of diction when he exclaims, "If you seek El Dorado" gives a connotation of you will have to do all this to reach your goal. Weather it be to go to el Dorado, get a certain time in swim, or start varsity polo it is going to be long and hard to get to your goal.
