Oklahoma's deer archery season is fast approching. I have been doing alot of work around my place in order to get ready for this season which opens on October 1st.
So far I have made two food plots, each out of Mossy Oak's Green Patch Plus. It is coming up nicely, I just hope we keep wet enough for it to mature quickly. I plan to do two more plots, with Clover Trio by Rackmaster, and my own seed blend of peas, wheat, rye, and oats.
I have also been practicing with my bow almost every evening. I am pretty confident with my shooting ability out to 30 yards this season. I can hold 3 inch groups out to this range.
The season is looking promising. I have spotted nine different bucks so far. Three are definite shooters!
