"Un giornale e un gatto! un giornale e un gatto tutte le mattine!" Questa è solo una delle frasi mitiche pronunciate da Gary Hobson... Ma chi è in realtà Gary Hobson? Andiamo per ordine: Gary è un agente di borsa, il classico bravo ragazzo, un po' sfigato e impacciato e la cosa che più lo rende felice è un bel bicchiere di latte. La sua storia comincia una mattina come tante, il giorno del suo 4° anniversario di matrimonio, quando felice e contento arriva a casa con un bel mazzo di rose rosse, credendo di fare una sorpresa alla moglie. E invece è lei che ha in serbo una sorpresa: senza una spiegazione lo caccia via di casa e gli scaraventa giù dalla finestra la sua roba, lasciandolo solo...
Gary si trasferisce in una specie di Motel e proprio la mattina dopo viene svegliato da un miagolio e da un tonfo sul pavimento. Alla porta c'é un simpatico gatto rosso (e il suo nome resterà Gatto per tutta la serie) e un giornale: è il Chicago Sun-Times. Gary si gratta la testa e lo raccoglie. Solo più tardi il nostro eroe farà la sua sensazionale scoperta: il giornale è quello del giorno dopo!
Gary può contare sull' affetto e il sostegno di due grandi amici, Chuck Fishman, che si innamora ogni 5 minuti e Marissa Clark, una giovane ragazza cieca.
E così Gary Hobson diventa una specie di "angelo custode" di Chicago e ogni giorno gli è permesso di avere 24 ore di tempo per salvare la vita delle persone...
Who is Gary Hobson? Gary is a broker from Chicago, a very good guy, a little clumsy and bungler who loves milk a lot. His story starts the morning of his 4th anniversary of marriage: he comes home very happy with some beautiful red roses for his wife. But his wife has a surprise more big for him: she sends him away from home, throwing down the window all his things!
So, Gary goes in a Motel and just the morning after at 6:30 o' clock he listens something at the door: a mewing and a thud on the floor. Outside the door there are a red cat and a newspaper, it's the Chicago Sun-Times... Gary picks it up, but he doesn't read it. Only some hours after our hero makes his big discovery: the newspaper is the day after's one!
Gary has the affection and the support of two big friends: Chuck Fishman, who falls in love every 5 minutes, and Marissa Clark, a blind girl.
Gary Hobson becomes something like the guardian angel of Chicago and every days he has 24 hours to change the future and save people by incidents or death...
