Mr. T
Lawrence Tero, A.K.A. Mr. T, made an appearance at Afros World Headquarters Wednesday to deliver a hellafied pep talk.

After two straight dismal performances that left The Afros scrambling for the final playoff spot, GM Todd Trulli knew he needed to shake things up. Because Kyle sucks.

Afros and afrettes, we give you Mr. T.

The Afros control their own destiny for the third straight week: win and go to the playoffs. An Afros loss will send the first-year franchise home for the holidays and most likely will result in a dismantling of a team that at one point was touted as the top team in the league.

To avoid such fall from grace, Trulli welcomed Mr. T to the luxurious Afros World Headquarters in Woonsocket, R.I., to address the underachieving team.

"Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. T has been an inspiration to us all, and we're glad that someone with his stature and storied history can address our guys," said Trulli. "Besides, nothing else has worked, so we'll give it a shot."

Since achieving world-wide stardom for his work on the Emmy Award-winning A-Team in the early 80s, T faded from the entertainment industry radar before recently making a massive comeback -- a comeback The Afros hope to duplicate this weekend against the Purple People Eaters.

The Afros will need all the help they can get following their pitiful effort in a 152-123 loss to Ford Heights Improvement Association. The only Afro to reach the endzone in the defeat was Jaguars QB Mark Brunell, who scored 24 points and appears to have solidified his spot as a starter after sharing time with Alex Van Pelt.

Philadelphia RB Duce Staley earned Dolemite Playa of the Week honors with his 18-point outing against Washington, while David Boston (16) and Eric Moulds (11) also contributed double digits.
