I know no one likes to get the old guilt trip for a donation speech but im gonna have to do it. As stated above we do have big plans for this site. Our dream is to be on of the central hubs for free thought liberal ideas and news as well as my own special brand of comentary, but before we get lost in the dream we need to get set up in the basics and that means getting a domain name of our own. As im sure some of you are aware of this is a free site hosted by geocities. While it is a bargain since its free and all it costs is the time I put in to add content, it does however limit the amount of bandwith I can use. If I there are to many hits the site shuts down for an hour at a time this means that those who wish to access the site cant and this defeats the purpose of what we are trying to do.
This site although still rather new is picking up steam and it is getting to the point where we have come to a crossroads already. Either try and build our vision or shut it down and I dont want that at all. We have at this time some very modest goals and we need your help to host this site. With its own domain name it will cost a 25$ setup fee and $19.95 a month with an yearly renewal fee for the domain name. We have added a paypal donation link in various places throughout the site and ask that you donate anything you can. We know beggers cant be chosers so we have left the donation amount up to you , if it $1.00 or a $1000 any amount helps.
Right now we have set our goal for $500 to cover the start up costs , software to improve the site and hosting fees till the first of the year.once we meet this goal the things you can look forward to are as follows:
