Restricted Love
go back
A fish once loved a butterfly
The butterfly loved the fish
To be together throughout their days
Was their simple wish

The fated question then arose
As to where they both would stay
A fish is confined to water
A butterfly can flutter away

A fish in air will no longer live
It's character cannont be changed
A wet butterfly will also die
Through more likely to be rearranged

The fish that loved a butterfly
And the butterfly who loved a fish
Though in love were kept apart
Learning to never wish

Hope is a thing that hovers
Dreams are a thing of the sea
Both are worthless reveries
Neither exist to be
