| Istari: Also known as wizards. Istari are mistical beings, similar to Maiar. They are put on earth to prevent Sauron and Melkor from controling the earth, and though forade to use their power directly to destroy the ring, they can help. They inhabit the form of older men, but are vigorous and slow to age. they are extremely powerful and focus power through their staves. Saruman was the eldest, until he betrayed them and was cast from the order. Gandalf seceeded him. |
