Penwhiel

A dark-skinned humanoid stands before you, a short creature at about
three feet tall but an energetic one nonetheless. His twitchy, figety
form is in nearly constant motion. His expression rarely strays far
from one of curiousity, though such ranges through a broad spectrum
from intrigue to amusement often changing in the blink of an eye. His
green eyes are magnified to the size of tea saucers by the thick
lenses of a complicated pair of goggles encircling his wide leathery
face. A series of thin wires attached to tiny hinges connects an array
of smaller, higher-magnification lenses to the main set, allowing them
to be rotated to the front when a more detailed view is required. The
entire contraption is secured with a trio of canvas straps between
which his dark hair sticks rudely out. His wide, bulbous nose-By the
gods there it is again! His left foot, seemingly unbeknownest to him,
taps at the ground in a rapid staccato, tapping annoyingly for several
long moments before ceasing abruptly only to begin anew a few seconds
later. A thick pair of leather gloves, worn and pitted, conceal ten
spasmodic digits that dive in and out of numerous pouches lining his
over-sized white lab-coat. The coat adds considerable bulk to his wiry
frame, mostly by virtue of the numerous tools, widgets and knick-knacks
that are bursting from every seam. Each pocket is labeled, some with the
names of items you recognise {Toads, Screwdrivers, Lunch} but others with
exotic titles the like of which you've never seen before {Triple-Flandago
C-Bolts, Reverse Tension Nucleo-Drive, Babba Ganoosh}. Hanging behind him
is an massive green backpack whose weight is supported by straps of rope
slung like bandoliers across his chest. From the upper-right corner erupts
a crest-bearing pennant, the Ratsbane family crest upon it. A pale green
rat lies on its back, its paws up, its tail curled, and apparently dead
if the X's in place of its eyes are indication of its perpetual state.
At the bottom a scroll reads: Penwhiel 'Wigglefoot' Ratsbane III.
