Cannoning

Cannoning - Cannoning is hitting a third ball with the object ball, either on a roquet, croquet, or tight-ball shot. It is not a foul to cannon another ball, but any ball(s) cannoned must be replaced to their positon(s) prior to the shot before play continues.

Replacing a Cannoned Ball

Replacing a Cannoned Ball - If a ball can be returned to its original position without moving any other ball that may have moved into that positon, there is no problem - simply replace the ball back in its original position. If, however, another ball now occupies that position, either in whole or in part, the following occurs: the ball occupying the position is moved in the direction that it came from until it clears it just clears the position, and then the cannoned ball is set back in its original position.
