John G. Salmon Sr. was a Madisonville Ky. business man & former Clerk of Hopkins County Ky. He served two consecutive terms as Hopkins County Clerk during the years of 1913-1921. Prior to that he was associated with the McLeod Store in South Main for several years and in later years was interested in mining properties at Crabtree of the Norton Coal Mining Co.
