Early intervention is effective in identifying learning deficits and/or recognizing strategies to balance the impact of educational disabilities on young children.  Developmental skills such as communication, movement, exploring, play, and socialization are important for all children.  Several children with disabilities need a specific involvment to gain the skills needed for kindergarten.  I design a daily program which is play based (since play is the method a good number of young children learn by). Typically a group of 5 students is educated by myself, a special educator.  A structured atmosphere is offered to those who need it and a looser atmosphere is offered for those who do not.

Each child will go home with a daily info sheet letting their parents know what they have achieved each day.  There are lots of creative times as well as learning and play time that is structured for the child's age and abilities.
