Miranda has been participating in Odyssey of the Mind since she was in the 4th grade at Beechwood. She has been to World Finals 7 times, and her senior year, her team got 1st in style. That year she also coached an elementary team that made it to state. She graduated from Beechwood in 2003 and is currently in the pre-veterinarian program at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Miranda was the recipient of the Kentucky Odyssey of the Mind scholarship, and now she judges and helps train other judges in the Western Region. |

Alisha started participating in Odyssey of the Mind when she was a 6th grader at Beechwood. She took a break from Odyssey her sophomore & junior years in high school to do speech & drama, but went back to Odyssey her senior year joining her sister's team, which made it to World Finals. Alisha, who was a Kentucky Odyssey of the Mind scholarship winner, graduated from Beechwood in 2000 and then graduated with her B.A. in communications from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky in 2004. Alisha married Chase Abner in June, 2004 and moved to Carbondale, Illinois where her husband is attending grad school. Currently, she is working as the production manager, newsletter editor and web designer at WBVN 104.5 FM, a small Christian radio station in Marion, Illinois. Alisha has been judging spontaneous at the regional and state levels in Kentucky since she graduated high school. |
