LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

In the name of God Amen, I, Conrad Kurts of Nelson County a nd State of Kentucky being in an ill state of health but pe rfectly in my senses considering the uncertainty of life an d knowing the certainty of Death do make this my last wil l and Testament.

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Kurts all my Estate both real and Personal during her life.

Item, I give and bequeath to my son Conrads Daughter Rachel all the land belonging to the tract whereon I now live over and above one hundred acres to be laid off to her on th e lower end of my land to be hers forever-

Item, I give and bequeath to my son George Kurts twenty five acres of land adjoining said George Kurts land which is to be his from this day and forever.

Item, I give and bequeath to each of the Heirs of my son Ma rtin Kurts namely Polly, Ann and Rachel five shillings eac h to be theirs forever.

Item, I give and bequeath to my sons and daughters, namel y George Jacob Elizabeth and Conrad after the death of my w ife all my estate both real and personal to be divided equa lly amongst them all except Jacob who I wish to have twent y five pounds less than the rest to belong to them and Thei r heirs forever.

Item, I leave my son George the sole Executor of my Estate in witness whereof I have set my hand and Seal this 27t h day of October, 1811.

Ata a County Court held for Nelson County on Monday the 17t h day of Feby. 1812.

This last will and testament of Conrad Kurts decd. was prov ed by the oaths of Saml. Abell and Kacob Kirts two of the s ubscribing witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded, an d on the motion of George Kurts the Exor. in said will name d, who with Jacob Kurts Senr. and Andrew Shoptow his securi ties executed bond in the penalty of one thousand dollars c onditioned according to law and the oath of any Executor be ing duly administered to him it is ordered that certificat e of probate of said will be granted him.
