The December meeting was the annual Christmas Potluck, with eighteen members and six guests present, the guests being Patti Brumett, Susan, Jessica, and Russell Erskine, Dale Avery, and John Trent's foster child Travis.
The business meeting came to order at 7:15pm. The minutes from the November meeting were accepted as printed, and the treasurer reported $2092.64 on hand with $11062.26 in savings. The Treasurer noted equipment expenditures this year, including $705.49 on the Legion Park tower project and $880.33 for the new 2 meter antenna and feedline. Announcements of note were the Gallatin hamfest Jan 18, Old KT Hams Jan 25, and an exam session in Bowling Green Feb 16.
Committiees
Repeater committee mentioned the recent interference, KE4DEY attributed much of it to a station about 50 miles North with remote base linking to Louisville, activating our '94 in the process.
Hamfest
Larry reported that ARRL sanction was received, and flyers forthcoming. Floor plan is being revised and QST has been notified.
Internet
The old SCRTC website has been discontinued.
Weather
KE4DEY will reprogram the controller to have shorter ID's, and discussed the Amber Alert test.
Old Business
We still need to make the tower at Legion Park climb-proof
New Business
The Nominating committee recommended Tom KG4KGY for President and Chappy KD4SS for Secretary/Treasurer. There were no other nominees, and they were accepted by acclimation. David Holly N4WIX was nominated from the floor for Vice President, and was accepted by acclimation. Jim KD4GNN volunteered as Smokehouse editor for 2003.
