Albums These are not all of his albums, just the ones I own and have english titles... 'A magic to city' 1998 What's this? More bad English? Will they never learn...Anyway, aside from the title, this album is full of different styles of..huh humm...music. A lot of this stuff is regurgetated on his later albums but I like some of the Mandarin versions on this CD. 'Amazing dream' 1999 This is recycled music heaven with only the title song being new, although the others might just be so shit I blanked them from memory...not sure actually. Ah well, although a little airy fairy, it's okay. 'Ask for More' 1999 I rather like this album, although it was my first so it will always have a special place in my heart! Lots of different styles and good tunes. My favourite! 'Hip Hip Hurray' 1999 Shock! Horror! It's another Greatest Hits CD! (I often wonder though if he actually has any hits to be great?) Oh but the best thing about this album is for sure the first track which is the theme of the film '2000AD'. You have to love its appealing screetchiness and origanality. I also approve of the very moving VCD where our truly beloved tells all his fans ('AAh we love you Aaron') 'I love you, i love you all'. Awww. You go girl! 'Journey.Cheer' 2000 This album is a bit of a mystery. It seems to be trying to be a sort of jazzy poppy dancy hybrid. A chimera it is, a good album? It is not. 'Fearless vs. Future' 2001 More old stuff but a bizzare rework of 'Ask for More', seemingly a song of a thousand faces (having different versions on just about every album) and Aarons pet (hate?). Stop greasing those corporate wheels, boy, and learn to sing! More screetchy, thumping dancy poppy stuff from the title song for the film 'China Strike Force'. And then some other stuff. Usual Canto-pop. Bells n' all. Also available with brass nobs on.
Filmography This list is also not complete and is not in order of production/release. Saviour of the Soul Aaron in a cloak with floppy hair Millionaire Cop Aaron in a dress with long locks...ends with Aaron in a cloak with floppy hair (hmmm...do you see a theme here?) A moment of romance II Sloppy stuff not available with subtitles. Lots of bleeding on the part of Aaron The Barefooted Kid Death, misery, tragedy and Aaron getting his feet in the air Somebody up there likes me Blood, blood, sloppy stuff, blood, violence and lots of tragedy. One scene from this film shows the corner of the street i used to live on. Ha! Oh, and there's blood too Legend of the liquid sword Wierdness-a horny vampire, three sisters, Aaron back to the long hair and exploding wounds Fung Wun (The Storm Riders) Computer graphics, Ekin Cheng, tragedy, ripping off of arms (yes, as in the body type)and lots of violence 2000AD Bad acting, shakey plot line, lots of Aaron and a cute Singaporean China Strike Force Another shakey plot line, a little bit of tragedy and violence and lots of English. Why couldn't they kill off Coolio too? Waaah! Para Para Sakuru Sloppy stuff, Para Para and not much else. It's funny though (err..sort of).
Aaron in one of his latest films, '2000AD'. I reserve judgment on acting abilities and plot line or lack thereof. I also advise Aaron be kept away from the first aid kit in future...
Nice hair...
To finish this journey into the wonderful world of Aaron, take a look at the real thing! This rare species was spotted at Times Square, HK (again!) in August 2000, seemingly for no apparent reason. Well, I enjoyed the experience anyway! So what's the verdict? He's good looking, sparing on the talent but big in character. You've gotta love him. Yes, you do, really...
It's far from anywhere...
