1. They believe Jesus is Michael the Archangel.
In Jude 9 Michael lacked authority to rebuke
Satan, but Jesus rebuked Satan –

Mat 17:18   And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Mark 9:25   When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, [Thou] dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

2. Elleen White, the founder, falsely prophesied Jesus’ return in 1844 –
Jer 23:32   Behold, I [am] against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

3. They believe the Saturday Sabbath is necessary for salvation –
Ephesians 2:8-9   8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Colossians 2:16-17   16 ¶ So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

4. They teach obedience of the law like the Pharisees –
Romans 10:2-4   2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Mat 5:20   For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

5. They believe hell is soul – sleep, not eternal torment –
Mat 25:46   And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Luke 16:22-23   22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Revelation 14:9-11   9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 "he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

Rev 20:10   And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

6. They deny that Jesus intercedes for us –
Rom 8:34   Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Heb 7:25   Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
