Chapter List

Epilogue
After the battle for freedom, a funeral was held for the leader of the AFAS, Renard, along with all of the other animals who had died that day for the freedom of animals. The kings under Emperor Diables rule had awaited orders from him but had never gotten them. So they simply carried on with what they were doing, left in confusion and completely unaware of what had taken place. A week after the battle, Renards friends still mourned his death.
I cant believe hes gone. Charlie said. Him, Jewell, Fea, Vincent, and Anthony sat in a group while eating their breakfast.
I didnt know him that well, but he seemed like such a great guy. Anthony said to them. They nodded in agreement.
He was Fea told him, He was one of the greatest people Ive known.
You know he told me that he had a nice little speech prepared after the battle. Vincent said with a light chuckle. He made me listen to it three times. He let out a light sigh.
I dont think I deserve this though Fea said, looking at Renards sword, which had been given to her after the battle. They had found a paper in Renards pocket with instructions for it to get to her, the new leader of the AFAS.
Well, he knew that Damien wouldnt have wanted it so I suppose he figured you would be the best for it. Vincent said. Fea nodded slightly then looked at Jewell.
Jewell? Are you alright? she asked her. Jewell nodded slightly then stood up and walked away from the group. She walked over to the spot under a tree where Renard was buried.
Renard I know you must be tired of hearing this but thank you. None of us would have gotten this far if it werent for your actions. A tear rolled down her cheek slowly and she wiped it away. She placed her hand on the stone that had his name carved into it and sighed.
So thank you. She said. She pulled out a piece of paper and looked it over. She sighed and set it down on his grave and walked away. It was a letter from Renard that read:
Jewell,
If your reading this letter then sadly I didnt make it through the bettle. Sorry about the spelling. I never was able to get it write. I just wanted too let you no that I was glad to die fighting four the cause. Do not mourn over my death. Ive gone on to a better place. It was great to no you four as long as I did. Since the day I met you you were special too me. Thanks for everything you have done four me.
