Click Create a New Gradebook      

Name your gradebook                                 

Click Save

 

Click Add Classes

Type the Class/Subject Name

Change the Term Labels (1st 6 weeks, etc) and Check the boxes for the Terms you want

 

Using the down arrow, select the class you want to work with

                                                                

Click View/Edit Class Options

Use this box to set your class options:


Scale:  set up grading scale

Rounding:  set which place value to round to

Category:  set up categories for assignments

Footnote:  add notes to a score

Score:  assign special scores to assignments

Attendance:  define attendance categories

Calendar:  set up your terms

Seat:  set up options for seating chart

Color:  set your background and grid colors


To get back to this box later, click Edit and select Class Options or click the Class Options button on the toolbar.

 

 

Click Type Student Names

Or you can import from another class

or another file (must be a text file)

Add student names and click Done

 

Click the Add Assignment button                                                  

Type the Name of the Assignment

Indicate the  Max Score & Points

Indicate assignment characteristics

Indicate assignment date

Click Next Assign if you want to add more

Click Done if finished

 

Click in the cell where you want to put in a score

Type in the student’s score

You can click off in the white space or hit Tab to deselect the cell

 

To add a note to a score, double click on the cell. 

Select the format of the note by clicking on the down arrow next to the format box.

If desired, type in a note in the large white box

If desired, select a footnote by clicking on it

Click Done

 

Now the cell will indicate if there is a note or footnote added to the score.

 

To setup how your gradebook looks/works, go to Edit and select Gradebook Options.

Click on different tabs to setup gradebook.

 

To print reports:

Click File and select Print OR

                                 Click the print button on the toolbar

Click the tabs to see what different reports are available

Select the type of report you would like to print

Click Next

 

You can select the whole class 

or selected students

 

You can Preview your report before you print by clicking Preview

You can change the layout by clicking Print Setup

When you are finished, click Print

 

To create a seating chart:

Click the seating chart tab or Click Chart in the top menu bar and select Seating

Click, hold, and drag the boxes to arrange them

 

To use the gradebook for attendance:

Click the attendance tab or click chart in the top menu bar and select Attendance

You will need to set up a calendar first

You can set up your own attendance codes by clicking on Edit and selecting Class Options

Click on the Attendance tab and set your codes
